St Mary's is near Bitterley Court, half a mile from the village on the slopes of Titterstone Clee.
The church is approached through a sturdy porch. The nave, chancel and tower date from about 1200 AD, the timber framing and spire being added in the 19th century.

The font is said to be Norman, the oldest object in the church.
There is also a very long iron-bound chest from the 13th century.
There is a monument to the south of the altar, the kneeling figure of Timothy Lucye who died in 1616.
The pulpit, lectern and reading desk are Jacobean (1603-1625).
In the north wall there is a tomb recess with some medieval tiles, and a blocked doorway.
In the churchyard there is a preaching cross with a crucifixion. It has been dated to the 14th century.
The rood loft and screen were added in 1924
